This is from page 9 of the Bylaws of the ALJC
BRIEF HISTORY
The Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ is a continuation of the
great revival that began on the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem, A.D.
30, and is founded upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets,
Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief cornerstone, ( Acts 2:1-41;
Ephesians 2:19, 20).
Various groups throughout the country went by different names
trying and striving to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Finally in
the month of March, 1952, three groups known as the Assemblies of
the Church of Jesus Christ, Jesus Only Apostolic Church of God, and
the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, formulated a merger adopting
the name Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is Apostolic
in Doctrine and Teachings, and the Bible as their guide book. Therefore
this Constitution and Articles of Faith are set forth.
So, Bro. Peters must have been a charter member of that group if he was ordained in 1952. I assume he came from one of those other groups who came together and formed the ALJC in March 1952.

I have know Bishop Peters for almost 20 yrs. He was a great man not to mention he was a man of God. He has a good family, a good church and good friends. He blazed a trail for the ALJC and oneness pentecostal as whole in East TN. He was very dedicated to Apostolic Fellowship across organizational lines. He worked very hard in his later years to promote this. He will be missed and celebrated. God has received another great man.

I did talk to Sisters Peters once.
May God comfort this family in their time of bereavement.

Sounds like this Elder let a very full and fruitful life. These kinds of death announcements are not sad for those of us who did not know them personally because we don't have the grief of having lost a loved one or friend. We only see the joyful reward we know a child of God like this is enjoying in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Bishop Peters was a great man of God and very wise.
I first hand experienced his compassion for people.
I will greatly miss him.
Pray for our church family and his family.
The viewing was tough tonight.

Not sure who Bishop Forbes is. Did he run the UC circles, UPC, ALJC? Bishop Peters was the oldest Bishop I knew so it is possible that he was under BF.
