From the section of 'You couldn't make this up if you tried', Mayor Bill De Blasio in NYC tweeted out a message, stating that any large groups of Jews - and other "communities" - would be facing summons or arrests for gathering together. However, the only community he actually called out was the Jewish one.
All this while the city organized a fly over, wherein thousands of New Yorkers gathered together in large groups, to watch planes in the sky. But that's okay, because that event was organized by the city.
