A Job Interview

Thank got that I am employed, but I found an opening for a position with a very large company around one month ago. I applied for the position and they called me the same day. I have already had three interviews with various directors, etc.

The Human Resources Director told me that the panel of three recommended me. However, on the last interview with the Operations Director, I feel like I crashed and burned. I have not heard anything from the company. I believe they were going to advise me by this upcoming Wednesday. I want this job bad, but I told God if it is not His will, I am fine with that too.

I would appreciate your prayers! Please pray that god blesses me with that position if it is god’s will.

I cannot prosper without Him blessing me with that position anyway.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: A Job Interview

A seed of thought for the interview.

". . . .Knick-knack paddywhack,
Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home.

An old Cheers reference.
