News Report On "Snake Handling & Speaking In Tongue"

This evening have been seeing promos on the ABC TV network affiliate in Nashville for a local news report tonight on "snake handling" and "speaking in tongue" (yes they used the singular for "tongue" rather than the correct plural "tongues")

I have set the DVR to tape it. Should be interesting.

So far in addition to the news report have interviewed Joel Hemphill and UPC Nashville pastor Ron Becton.

The last "standup" the reporter did was in the sanctuary of First Church (UPC church pastored by Ron Becton)

There is a second part tomorrow night. Perhaps after they air they will be on the TV stations website. Right now it is not.

The first part was about snake handling churches. Looked like some stock footage they used. Then they talked about the scripture in the bible that says believers will handle serpents, speak in tongues, etc.

The second part of the story was about speaking in tongues and talked about it being widespread. That was the subject they interviewed Joel Hemphill and Ron Becton.

The Caption under his name while he was speaking said "believes in speaking in tongues'. He talked about his dad speaking in tongues in South Louisiana and that sometimes the french speaking people said he was speaking French.

Don't know or care what Joel believes.

Do you believe one not "saved" in your revivals or "church" will make it?
