I Got A New Computer!

A new HP all in one desktop! I'm so happy! My sweet hubby talked me into finally buying one. My old XP was worn out and not working right anymore. I hope I can get used to the Windows 8.1 LOL! I'm sure this is almost extinct by now though. But wow this is so nice and is working sooooo much faster than anything I've ever had!! Anyway, just wanted to share my JOY!!

Great news...good for you! I finally deserted my old XP also. Got a MAC all in one with wireless keyboard, mouse and printer. Love it even if it's a new learning curve. Yay for both of us.

On the plus side (regarding Windows 8.1), if you're have trouble adjusting to the new UI; when Windows 10 arrives, there will be a free upgrade path for the first year for Windows 7/8/8.1 users.

Re: I Got A New Computer!

Congrats on the new computer! I have one laptop that is Windows 8 and I absolutely hate it with a passion. Windows 7 is much better. The good news is that Microsoft is skipping straight to Windows 10 later this fall that is supposed to correct a lot of what people hate in Windows 8 and for the first time ever they are going to allow free upgrades to it from Windows 8 for a year. If I were you I would stay on top of news on this and if Windows 10 proves to be the fix for Windows 8 it is supposed to be then upgrade to it when it is released.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: I Got A New Computer!

I just recently upgraded my PC to windows 7, all I changed was a new hard drive, case and CPU cooler.

I had to change the case and cooler because it was overheating but now I keep cold cuts in it

Re: I Got A New Computer!

Will my old HP Deskjet 3840 series printer connect to this
new computer?

(edit) *Never mind the question. I just tried to install it and it would not work.
My computer is too new LOL!!!
Oh well, at least printers are not very expensive.

You might consider trying their "printer install utility" from HP.com.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/softwa...30-1/hppiw.exe

No guarantees, but it can't hurt to try.

Congrats on your new computer! Don't go too cheap on your printer though.
