Gas meters are supposed to have regulators on them that shut off the flow into a building or residence if the pressure isn't correct, right?

So, one question is, are they now using some kind of smart (ie hackable) meter system on the gas meters?

Pressure is maintained and controlled via distribution hubs - many of which are unmanned and automated. Physical access is easy, although hacking is possible as well.

Stuxnet, anyone?
