Water baptism was always performed right away....it was and is that important.
This is where we differ in a big way!

The steps get confusing...I was raised 3-step: repentance, water baptism by immersion in Jesus name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. Now UPCI teaches 7 steps until salvation, and some say 1 step...I hope the one steppers are right...but I'm afraid that we aren't saved until it is all said and done. It gets so confusing to be legalistic! !

Blessings, Rhoni

Have you seen that book they hand out to people after they are baptized? It comes out of headquarters?

It just makes things more complicated with the new thread being a quote from another thread because you don't know where to answer - the original quote or the new thread where it was quoted.
