I would have to pull up to the gas station and say, "Fill her up with oil and check the gas." Honest as I can be.

They tell me there is some apostolic group that is going pretty big now in southern gospel radio. Nobody has ever remember the name.

Actually, Terry Joe is Country Gospel not Southern Gospel. But he is DEFINITELY one of my favorite Country Gospel singers. He and Bro. McCool are neck and neck in that regard. I have several of Terry Joe's CDs and a couple of his sound tracks just in case I get the opportunity to "sang" one of his Mizzipi originals!

Sis,

I love black gospel AND Southern Gospel. right now my CD player in my car has the two CD set from Bishop Patterson, the CD of the choir from the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship Mass Choir, Kirk Franklin (not sure which one), and the two CD set from AQUA which is almost totally Apostolic Southern Gospel quartets.

Other than Hip Hop and rock gospel there is not much I don't like.

I enjoy most any gospel music, however some does get on my nerves...I do have to admit that when I heard Olanda Draper sing "He Touched Me", I laughed sooo hard because I was so used to Bill Gaither singing it.... So I told my mother that even our black gospel singers still sing the old songs...I played it for her and of course, she said it was not the same song...ha ha ha!!

As for Kirk Franklin, I enjoy his earlier stuff with the family, those were the songs I could sing in church. But even though I really enjoy his latest albums, they are too much for services imo....I would prefer southern gospel over christian rock for sure!!
