I forgot about that. I remember him saying that. Have you ever heard the expression, I’m not voting for a Pastor, I’m voting for a president?

You are absolutely correct.
"Moderator Frank Luntz asked Trump whether he has ever asked God for forgiveness for his actions.

"I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don't think so," he said. "I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don't bring God into that picture. I don't.""

You started out well and then add all of this:

Quote:
I know you so want DJ to be the defender of the free world. A superhero president of Ronald Regan proportions. Fighting for freedom and good to the core. Someone that would make a good Texan Baptist MawMaw proud. You see that is why John Q Public loves him. Well they don’t love him, they love the image they created. You won’t have him dancing on Ellen Degeneres Show. No way, but he will be the one to put on the infinity gauntlet and finally defeat Thanos. But, he isn’t because all that is only found in make believe. No, he a business man, actor, good old American hustler. Looking forward to four more years and walk away with roll of cheddar.
What was your point of praying for his salvation? It is like, yea I will pray, but it ain’t gonna work.

Right, I saw that exchange. Even though I was against him at the time, I viewed the exchange as Trump being Trump. Showing weakness or any vulnerability isn’t his strong suit.

Man, I have spent a lot of time on this forum of late.

Philippians 1:17 speaks of using the name of Christ and using His message out of selfish ambition. The Apostle Paul understood that there were some in his day doing so because they knew he was locked up. That while they were doing it to be known of men, Paul couldn't stop them physically. President Trump (and most of the others before him) use Jesus Christ. That is how I see it, but still I pray for them to turn from their stupidity and renounce their sheming ambition. Again, if he is elected again, it will be only for four more years. He is an egomaniac so I doubt he may do this, but those last four years he may pull a whammy on us all.

Wow, I wonder if Trump was to stabbed someone in front of you. You might just tell the authorities that the guy backed into Trump's knife.

Maybe it is as simple as that was my personal takeaway and not yours. IOW, it appeared to be a part of the performance image he wanted to portray.

Or do you always try to disparage and/or bully people to come around to your way of thinking? I can guarantee that isn’t going to happen with me.
