Re: Spring Forward 2013

I am enlisting you all in patitioning our government to make a change to the Daylight Savings time plan.

Here is my new plan.

First, during the spring, on Thursday night at midnight, we "spring forward" 25 hours.
That means you go to bed on Thursday night, then wake up on Saturday morning.

Second, in the fall, we "fall back" on Sunday night at midnight 25 hours. That means you go to bed on Sunday night and wake up on Sunday morning.

(on you reperbates dont have to go to church twice).

I think this plan will work!

Re: Spring Forward 2013

I want more daylight in the winter time. (Like we really have that in East TX).

And another thing, it confuses our roosters when the time changes. And our hens don't lay as many eggs. I think we need to sue the government for that.

Are you kidding? The whole "we had Good Church!" crowd would LOVE going to four services.

Arizona has the right idea in not observing daylight savings.

It doesn't mean we don't experience the effects of DST here. For example, at my job, we base everything off Pacific Time. Consequently, the call we have every morning at 08:00 PT moves from 09:00 MST in the winter to 08:00 MST during daylight saving time. When I had to provide coverage for a certain task (something I've not had to do for a month now, first time in SEVEN YEARS), I had to stay until 17:00 PT / 18:00 MST in the winter. Since I moved to a higher security site in November, this was less of a problem, but still, it's dark at 6 pm.

For those of us who watch television, many of the cable channels have a Pacific feed and yes, those move spring forward and fall back for us in AZ.

I can't imagine having to actively observe other time zones. As I sit here in my office in Paradise Valley watching the rain come down (or at least it was an hour ago) I think I've forgotten what a pain DS can be.

It's all about time here. Your application didn't recover in 30 minutes? Why not?

And it's pouring down rain in Mesa right now.

Agreed! At least that is one thing we do right here.
