Rich Mullins Movie!!!

I was a huge fan while he was still alive and still listen to his albums regularly. From what I know of him he had the fruits of the spirit. I can't wait to see this movie.

Wow, I bought this movie at Walmart yesterday.

A really sad movie. Maybe this movie is a true picture of Rich Mullen's life. I don't know. Was he perfect? NO, nobody is. But this movie paints him in a horrible light.

If you are a fan on Rich's music keep listening to the albums he made, but skip the movie.

He had a bad relationship with his father. Rich took it very hard. None of this is his fault.

So he grows up and he has a lot of depression and anxiety because he feels worthless. Even though he comes to a relationship with Jesus, he still struggles.

To deal with his problems he chain-smokes and drinks till he gets drunk much of the time.

I had heard he smoked before. I don't think Christians should smoke but that is one of my beliefs. I can't hold him to my standards. He had to live by his own standards.

In the movie he was very depressed all of the time. This led him to drinking. I personal don't want to judge anyone. If he had a beer on occasion that is between him and God. But they portrayed him like the only thing he did between recording and concerts was drink.

So I think the makers of the movie wanted to tell Rich's story. They thought it was too hard to have a sad scene then a happy scene then another sad scene. So they just made the whole movie one big depressing mess.

Did Rich have bad days? I am sure he did. But he had happy songs, videos and interviews to. When I listen to his music it is hard to believe that some portion of his life wasn't dedicated to the Lord.

I just don't think the movie portrayed his life accurately. But I could be wrong I never met Rich or saw him in concert. So I have no idea who he really was. All I know is that listening to his music has always helped when I wanted to worship the Lord.

There was a movie about the life of Kieth Green that was supposed to be coming, but so far nothing.

In 2011 Melody Green announced that a feature film about Keith's life was in development. After the initial producers failed to exercise their contract to obtain the film rights, Melody began to gather a new production team. As of 2013 the film is currently under development.

This music takes me back. Yeah I remember the late 70's and early 80's. This style of music was very popular.

This music helped shape me spiritually in my early years as a believer.
