Medical Transcriptionist??

I am told by the Ricomeister that someone here told him some good information about becoming a medical transcriptionist. Only thing is he's not remembering who right now. Please come out and share your knowledge if you are here.

Sorry, I don't know who it was but I'd like to know....A friend of mine does it and I can get some info from her....She makes pretty good $$$$.

Well... Right now Rico is sitting on his couch in his living room.

I'd love to get some info on it. I'd like to be able to learn to do it so I can work it from home. I'm kinda leary of those little things you get where you put the stamps on and mail it in for information for their schooling...

my cousin does it. she has to go in to the clinics. she makes good money.

My office contracts out medical transcription. You get paid by the line. You have to be a fast typist to make good money. We have a six week course in my city at the community college for medical terminology/transcription. Also, a girl at my church is taking an online training course right now.

Well, if you don't have anything soon, i'll get the info from my friend because I'm really wanting to do it also. It is a good field to get into...But learning all of those medical terms

Fast typist is not a problem. I went to school to be a legal secretary and, though I have lost most of my knowledge of the terminology I have not lost the typing skills whatsoever.

I'd love to do an online course. It'd be much easier than having to go somewhere to do the coursework...especially since I homeschool.

I will try to get the info from my friend and post where she takes it online. You would make good money since you can type fast.
