The Internet has become the "new TV" of the future, with an included feedback option. That is what makes it so dangerous to so many. There is a growing number of believers who are seeking answers to important questions, not platitudes - and they are searching!

In addition to being able to share ideas, concerns, and just plan good old fellowship, a new level of personal on-line relationships are now being built that spans the world. There is even a growing awareness that some of the things we have been taught concerning other professing Christians simply does not hold up under intense investigation, while some opinions we hold are simply not strong enough. The result: Without going into an information overload, truth is being discovered on a great many different fronts and levels. That process can be painful, and it can bring up fears we thought were forgotten, never to be revisited again.

One of the greatest benefits (and one of the greatest dangers) is the mostly free and open access to religious materials (research materials of every kind, Bibles, commentaries, articles, teaching, etc.) that includes almost every religion and belief system known to man. Like TV, radio, magazines, movies and other communication systems, the Internet is not without its own pitfalls and traps - but so is just going through the process of life! The only "risk free" existence is death, where everything has already been decided.

With a keyboard and mouse, let the adventures begin.

Yet, here we are. The old guard no longer holds supreme authority over the thoughts and lives of men and women, as they once enjoyed. Today, more religious leaders are being held accountable to the local assemblies for their teaching and their instructions/leadership.

Thank you for your responses! You obviously have a clear understanding of the big picture. One other point to consider is how many of the others on the supporting side of these issues often think that they enjoy presumption. This is incorrect! They are the ones obligated to prove the validity of these "doctrines" in the face of such intense scrutiny and reasoning. Let us hope that threads like these will continue to add to the momentum of this "spiritual revolution"!

Pentecostal ladies do plenty to attempt to induce beauty. It's what women do. As I mentioned on the other thread, curling your hair, wearing high heels, and shaving your legs are all done for the sake of beauty. There's not a thing wrong with wanting to look feminine. As a matter of fact, you would think it would be encouraged, especially in our unisex generation.

Just plain common sense here. Your honesty is refreshing!
