Rev. William Durham was younger than Rev. William Seymour and Rev Charles Parham but they were all part of the Pentecostal outpouring that was sweeping America and other parts of the world.

Rev. William Durham was a mentor to several key people within Pentecostal denominational history, even though he himself was a Congregationalist. He was a mentor to several future Pentecostal leaders to include: Andrew H. Argue, Eudorus N. Bell, Frank Ewart, Howard A. Goss, and Andrew Urshan.

Andrew H. Argue's history is interesting in that he was a leading figure in the formation of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada--
INITIALLY a Oneness organization with close ties to the PAW. The organization at one point was going to merge with the PAW but the decision was made to remain independent. In the early 1920's the organization merged with the Assemblies of God and all Oneness adherents were forced to denounce the Oneness doctrine or leave the fellowship.

Later, Rev. William Durham would depart from Rev. Seymour and Rev. Parham in his view of salvation, deciding to preach what is called, "The Finished Work" doctrine that teaches that the baptism of the Holy Spirit comes after salvation.

Robert J. Semple was born in Ireland and was likely influenced by the Welsh Revivals of 1904 and 1905 that preached the
Acts 2:38 gospel message, but were Trinitarian in view of the Godhead.
