Warren calls for Nationalization of Business

snippets
Warren’s proposal is dishonestly called the “Accountable Capitalism Act.” Accountable to whom? you might ask. That’s a reasonable question. The answer is — as it always is — accountable to politicians, who desire to put the assets and productivity of private businesses under political discipline for their own selfish ends.
Under Senator Warren’s proposal, no business with more than $1 billion in revenue would be permitted to legally operate without permission from the federal government. The federal government would then dictate to these businesses the composition of their boards, the details of internal corporate governance, compensation practices, personnel policies, and much more. Naturally, their political activities would be restricted, too.

I saw this. Unbelievable that anyone would vote for her knowing this is part of her economic platform.
She should be run out of Congress on a rail. As should Bernie and the rest of the socialists.

They need to seriously and honestly make the distinction between Crony Capitalism and Capitalsm. Grouping them together is totally dishonest and stupid. I suspect it is being grouped together on purpose.

The fact that these Nimrods get elected is amazing, only so long as you ignore the voters often graduated from our institutions of indoctrination with no one about to challenge the lunacy.

Re: Warren calls for Nationalization of Business
What do you guys think about legislation for the following?
◾Corporate charters (licenses to exist) are only granted for a limited time and can be revoked promptly for violating laws.
◾Corporations can engage only in activities necessary to fulfill their chartered purpose.
◾Corporations will not own stock in other corporations nor own any property that is not essential to fulfilling their chartered purpose.
◾Corporations can be terminated if they exceed their authority or cause public harm.
◾Owners and managers are responsible for criminal acts committed on the job.
◾Corporations cannot make any political or charitable contributions nor spend money to influence law-making.

Generally, I believe that these are bad ideas. Some of these already exist at some level.

Actually, these were rather standard laws prior to 1819.
Our Founders and early American lawmakers knew all too well the potential dangers of unregulated corporate power. Remember, they had to deal with the corporations loyal to the crown. With the advent of corporate personhood, these protections were systematically thrown out the window. Now corporations have more power in politics than the voter. The voter is seen as just an object to trick and manipulate to get into office. Once there, they serve their corporate constituents, and only turn to serve the people when an issue becomes so big they have to act or risk something that can come back on them to prevent them from being re-elected.
Today, America is the best republican democracy money can buy.

Re: Warren calls for Nationalization of Business
Also, it should be noted that Warren's idea doesn't "nationalize" everything. It is designed to regulate what she and others believe to be corporate abuses of power and money. It should read, "Elizabeth Warren’s Batty Plan to Regulate . . . Everything".
