Rand had a good exchange with Christie, but that was about it. He had the least amount of talk time of the group. He would have done better just skipping the debate and offering a post-debate interview.

Re: Trump 2016
Read on the news last night that Megyn Kelly said she wouldn't apologize for "good journalism." "Good journalism?!" She's delusional if she believes what she did was "good journalism!" That was anything but "good journalism."

Re: Trump 2016
Trump spoke out about his tax plan this morning, stating he wanted to overhaul it and implement a flat tax.
This is good. This is what I want Trump to talk about: policy issues. Get over Megyn's attack and Eric's lie and talk about the issues as only he can, unfiltered and without any influence from special interests.
I hope Jake Tapper, the moderator of the next debate, will question Trump about these type of things. Don't be like Megyn and try to turn the debate into TMZ or some Springer-like trashy show. Grill Trump and the rest, but do so based on policy. Make Trump answer tough questions about foreign policy, terrorism, civil rights and other issues. If you want to question him about women, do so based on his policy, not some years old feud he had with Rose O'Donnell.
I will say, the best question Megyn asked Trump was when he became a Republican. That was a fair question. I wouldn't mind Tapper asking him that type of question again, perhaps phrasing it in a different way.

Re: Trump 2016
Interesting article regarding Trump's daughter, Ivanka.
Ivanka Trump and Jewish Family Values
While Ivanka Trump may have kept the Trump name, she has her own family, and her own religion. She converted to Orthodox Judaism in 2009 when she married real estate mogul Jared Kushner, with whom she now has two children.

Trump will be on Hannity tonight for the full hour.
Will he be questioned about policy issues, or just his past statements and beef with Megyn? Hopefully it's the former.
I don't have FNC, so I'll have to wait and see the clips tomorrow.

Look at this article by Nate Silver, especially the last two paragraphs.

IF, and it's a big IF, Trump's poll numbers hold true and he does well in the opening primaries and the GOP establishment signals it will not allow him to win the nomination, I could see Trump leaving the GOP race to form a 3rd party campaign.
However, if Silver's research holds that these poll numbers mean nothing this early, and Trump loses big in Iowa and NH, I could see him withdrawing early and not forming a 3rd party campaign.

Exactly! The same issue will also go with Cruz, who we know the Establishment hates. Totally agree on the rest of your assessment.
My hurrah for Trump is if he, with his own arrogancy, can take some of the arrogant power from the media and both parties. Social media is driving this past the media and political parties. I do like that.
I've listened to some lengthy interviews by him from 20 and 25 years ago. The startling thing, regardless of people talking about his vacillating on issues, he has been consistent about politics and the economy, i.e. how these things affect America. And strangely enough, he has made a clarion call, like on china, etc, which we are seeing today. On those aspects, I don't have a huge problem with the guy. I would only need to see every policy detail and every cabinet member he has chosen.
When he and Ivana split up, he left her managing one of his hotels because she was already doing the managing, doing a great job and was the mother of his children. He isn't the heartless person the media tries to paint him as.
