Dottie Rambo Killed in Bus Accident - Page 8

I was in my early teens when we would go once a year to dinner on the ground and hear the Singing Rambo's at Bro. Barnes church.

After a couple of years, they stopped having them and not to long after that they left the organization.

I thought I was cool because I got to sit up in the balcony.

I might be mistaken but I think some of the last recording Dottie Rambo did was on a recording by the Dunaways.She did I just came to talk with you Lord with them.

Tragic, but hopefully, she never knew what happened.

i think she had just recorded a new CD. she had written some new songs. the cd will be released either at the end of this month or next month.

I read a statement from the trooper on the scene that she broke her neck when she was flung from her bunk on the bus. Apparently, she died rather quickly and there was no suffering. God seemed to be very merciful to her considering the pain and suffering that she had endured in this life. She was a very gifted woman of God.

Ed Robertson has been the pastor there now for at least 30 years. He was an old man when he took over, and he's that same old man today.....LOL!

I recognize the name Kenny Dyson, but not sure why. My mom didn't get into the church until 1974, and I was just 5, but I remember the names of pastors in our section, as we had a very active church for several years of my attending there.

I talked to my mom about your dad and she remembers him being the pastor in Aurora. I don't. I just remember Billy Coltharp being there. She doesn't remember anyone before Bro. Robertson in Joliet, however. I don't believe the church has changed since Dyson was there, however. It's the same small church, considering the area they are in. It's just really never grown.
