Not surprising. With the revolt against the GYD leaders (Gaddy, Mann and Francis) because of NAYC, Ensey's name was coming up in a lot of conversations. Gaddy couldn't run because of limits, plus he's a pastor now I believe; Francis was sidelined by political shenanigans due to the fact he's a few months from being ordained a year; and that left Mann the only current GYD leader to be voted for that position.

I don't think he wanted the position. He opted out at first, then was reported to be back in after it was found out WF couldn't run.

Ensey is the conservative choice, no doubt about it.

I'll say it now . . . with his election as GYD President, chances are the majority in session are conservatives which could result in Res 4's defeat.

Wayne Francis is who you are thinking of. He would be a shoe in but he does not meet the reqs. He has been ordained for less than a year.

Oh my.........Michael Ensey is listed in the '07 directory as General license.

Are you sure it's not Randy Ensey? They are both listed as being from the same town, and he is ordained.

Could be an indicator ... however it would depend if mod/lib votes were split between Gaddy and Urshan.

This is news. If so, how come his name was allowed for the vote and not Francis'? I'm gonna hush now before I say something that sends Steadfast or some other conservative to the hospital with high bp. LoL

DA - more info please, if you can get it! Thx.

I'm going to merge this with the other update thread and sticky it so that all info can be on one thread.
