Well, that's kind of my point. It's random. Of the world's population, what maybe 5% have even heard of the Apostolic faith? Maybe more, maybe less, but not 100%. So, anyone who was born, lived, and died a Muslim, say, ends up in hell, right? Or Baptist or AG? Random.

Personally, I think that Apostolics should work out their own salvation according to the scriptures.

Does the AOG saint know that he's in a church that doesn't have a correct understanding of God? Why would he go in search of an Apostolic preacher if he's already obeyed Acts 2:38 and believes that he's in a "heaven bound" church already? Would God still judge his ignorance of the Oneness, in spite of his obedience to the Word via Acts 2:38?

Think about that Timmy, so it would be impossible to preach the Gospel to the whole world?

  • I've heard that some AOG churches will allow a person to be baptized in Jesus name, if it's specifically requested. Not many, but a few.
  • It is also known that numerous AOG folks have received the Spirit-filling, whether they have an accurate understanding of God or not.

That being said, could an AOG saint who has been baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Ghost, be saved if they are living a repentant life with similiar holiness standards as some of the "wishy-washy" things openly proclaimed on AFF?

I'm not suggesting that it's probable; I'm only asking if it's theoretically possible.
Can they be saved? Yes!

But the issue could be defined a little more to ask "Can they continue to attend a church that opposes the Apostolic doctrine and continue to grow in their salvation walk"?

While it could be possible, I highly doubt it is probable.

Many trinitarians do not believe that God is a trinity.

In Jesus name

Brother Benincasa
Oh good grief! So being saved hinges on a person finding an Apostolic preacher? Dumb!

While this was well before I was born and oneness churches have grown in number, my mom has told me stories of when she was growing up. Her mother received the HG and was baptized in Jesus name, but there was no Apostolic/Pentecostal church for them to attend in their city. So they went to a denominal church for years.

She, attested by a host of witnesses who knew here, was an incredible woman of God. She was saved, though she spent many years in a denominal church that didn't believe in the oneness and didn't preach Acts 2:38.

What of people down through history and still today who received the revelation of one God and Acts 2:38, but didn't know of or attend an Apostolic church?

Are you really so arrogant that you believe they split hell wide open, though they repented, were baptized in Jesus Name and received the Holy Ghost?

News flash for you my friend, there are a lot of people who have experienced Acts 2:38 and have never heard of the UPC or other Apostolic churches.

Key observation that I already mentioned. Thanks for your input though.

To believe in the Trinity is not a sin.

Jesus is technically a trinity as you are.

Jesus is One: Son

Jesus is Two; Holy Ghost

Jesus is Three: Father

1x1x1=1 Trinity in position, role, manifestation, etc....

God is the God what ever you call it....there are three things that God is.

Trinity is a word NOT God or Gods.

Most trinitarians do not believe in three Gods.

The Bible says Father, Son, HolyGhost......Threeeeeee!

TRINITY MEANS THREE!

God is trinity in forms or roles or manifestations.

Jesus was the fullness of the God head in Body..

To mis-understand or believe trinity is not sin.

So if some-one believes Acts2;38, obeys gets baptized in Jesus name, filled with

Holy ghost, but still thinks in a trinitarian mode he is going to hell???

This very thing happened to me after I was in the UPC.......

It took a while to get the revelation of One God.......

So Bill........was I in sin and hell bound until I understood One God?????
