There are folks in IL with that name who are good friends of my brother (a UPCI pastor). The son has preached for Jim several times.
Not sure if it is the same family...

Sis. Barb,
As Sandra pointed out in one of her posts, the Crist family is from Illinois. In fact, I believe that Terry is our own beloved Breachmender's nephew. The patriarch of the Crist family pastored close by the Yohes in Illinois. From there Terry's dad followed the Yohes to South Dakota.
I am pretty sure that this is the same Crist family you are referencing.
Have a great night!

I looked up the church that he is merging with and it is clearly a trinitarian church.........

My father pastor's the church that Terry Crist's grandfather pastored until his death (the church is about an hour and a half or so from St. Louis). His grandmother attended dad's church until her death a few years ago. And Terry Crist's father has ministered at the church numerous times. I've never met Terry, and don't know a whole lot about his beliefs, but the other Crist's that I have met, including his father and uncle, are outstanding people and fantastic preachers...and they are most definitely Oneness.

Sometimes the pedigree doesn't hold? Her grandparents on both sides were icons in the Apostolic movement. Their children forsook the ways of their parents. S.R. Hanby & C.P. Williams were patriarchs. So sad.
