I hope you read enough posts to realize that everyone is welcome to give their thoughts, even Muslims. This forum is not just for Apostolic believers. I like this very much. What good would it be to discuss things with someone that believes exactly like you?
This forum will possibly open up your mind to see things about the Bible you did not see before because of religious blinders. I have seen things I never saw before and I see that there are things that are NOT in scripture that I believed was there due to the religious bent I was raised in.
I think we all help each other see more of God. In MY opinion, you will get the most out of this forum if you don't dig in your heels on some belief, unless it is something that all mainstream Christians agree on. That way you will be open to the Holy Spirit leading you in what is best for YOU. (Jesus told the "rich man" to sell all he had and give it to the poor, but He didn't say everyone had to do this. If Jesus appeared in your church today and said this to someone, it would likely become a new doctrine.)
Oh, now you will probably see me as some rebellious person. LOL Nope, I believe that you should not be a part of a church unless you agree to do the things they feel are important. If a church feels it is best for the ladies to wear their hair up and dresses a certain length, then I think the ladies in your family should do this or find another church. If you can't submit to the authority in the church you are attending, then find one with people you can submit to.
The great thing is, if you disagree with me here, YOU CAN!
