Chick Fil A has became successful based on their business model started by the founder who is now dead.

As CFA changes that model then their results are going to change also. They are going to go to a profit only mentality which is going to alter their results.

If and when CFA goes public then they will cease their upward growth which was based upon service. When a corp goes public then they will begin to focus on the dollar only because of pressure from the investors. They will begin to minimize their staff, pay them less and expect more because of the demands for profits to report.

I kinda expect them to change even more in the next few years. This step that they took and the fallout from it is really natural as the original owner has passed.

To be an owner/operator you had to work your way up. No one could purchase a franchise. Now they’re available for $10,000 down not including liquid assets. The other requirements are still pretty strict. Truett is turning in his grave.
