I'm creating a thread for everyone to post about a current event, and offer commentary, reflection, or questions, such as they be.

I will start:

United Natural Foods, Inc., or UNFI, suffers cyber security attack, and has to take their entire ordering system offline to try and fix it. They supply hundreds of thousands of grocery stores across the USA and Canada, including Whole Foods, Festival Foods, and the family chain I help manage.

Their ordering system has been down for over a week. In the meantime, stores are scrambling to get stock from other distributors.

The Whole Foods down here have plenty of empty shelves. No eggs has been a problem for a while now. First with the Biden administration killing off over a million birds. Now with this cyber attack knocking out distribution. I believe this is just the beginning and we have yet to see what other issues will be cropping up. Yet, I can only speculate.

If you look at past dictatorships they actually aren’t a one man rule. The one man is the figurehead. But, an oligarch is the ruling system. What we have currently are systems vying for control of their piece of the pie. Sadly the United States has fallen prey to a plutocracy. The rank and file ( the citizens) are currently in a state of intoxicating confusion. The United States showed the world how we are led by our nose by the media during the pandemic. The United States were more than fine to have a senile president lead us into insanity. Where transvestites were paraded in front of us on the White House lawn. Moon gods and Satanic synagogues are minuscule compared to the Great Satan which is sadly the powers in government. Look, Islam wasn’t even on the radar in the 1970s. In the 60s the United States government didn’t cow tow to any foreign government. Not that Israel didn’t have its supporters like Lyndon B. Johnson. But, no one in D.C. proclaimed with moistened eyes their devotion to a foreign government like they do now. Dictatorship? Not exactly, but we are dying from ultra stupidity. This country doesn’t know who the man is behind the curtain. There is a lot of guessing going on, all based on speculation. But, who is turning the screws is yet to be made plain. We are watching everything change before our eyes.Western Rome really never fell as Gibbon would have us believe. It just morphed into a dark age, where people believed in nonsense, superstition ruled, and priests couldn’t read a street sign, let alone a Bible. We don’t have to worry about dictators, as much as we need to worry about utter oblivion of mass ignorance and stupidity. We all are marching towards another dark age. Where the Fool is leading the citizens to sad lazy oblivion.
