If you have Firefox, you can have a stripped down fast browser, or you can have a browser with all bells and whistles.

Some addons will actually slow your system. The ones I listed do not slow my system, and add enhancements.

FoxFilter is a personal content filter that helps prevent stumbling onto inappropriate content and block access to specific content and Web sites. FoxFilter also includes password-protected security features to secure settings, access Tools/Add-ons and access configuration settings

I am basically computer illiterate.
I have Mac computers and some stuff will not work with them.
I do use Firefox as my regular browser but I also use Safari as a secondary one. I usually keep Camino minimized at http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/
for quick access to Scripture.

I read too many bad things about Fasterfox and so no longer use it.

Tiny menu? I am 43 and the eyes are not what they used to be.

Here is the link to install Colorful Tabs

Sam, these should work on your Mac.

I have AOL which includes a browser I guess. I have IE installed but I don't really use it. Does Firefox work with AOL?

BOOMM, I have a question about firefox and IE. Well, let me just ask it. lol

Right now, for some reason, IE is slowing my computer down to the point it's almost unusable. I've run all the adware checks, virus scans, and I've been watching performance. It's definitely IE.

Does firefox use fewer resources? Will I be able to keep my computer limping along for a little longer if I switch? It's just getting old, I can't really fault it for that, but I need it to keep functioning for a few more semesters before I can replace it.
