B.D. Hyman, daughter of two-time Oscar-winning actress Bette Davis, has her own church in Charlottesville, Virginia. Hyman's father is William Sherry, although actor Gary Merrill later adopted her.
Hyman claims a turbulent relationship with her mother, which she wrote about in her book called
My Mother's Keeper (1987). The book received widespread attention and was an international best-seller. Shortly before it was published, however, Hyman became a born-again Christian.
Her statement of faith (or "we believe" section) of her website reads like one from any basic run-of-the-mill non-denominational megachurch. The church is apparently charismatic, and they believe in being born of the water and of the Spirit, the latter being evidenced by tongues.
I've read over stuff concerning B.D. Hyman in the past, but I stumbled across it again this morning.

There are also videos about her testimony on YouTube.
