Just wondering if Bro. Alvear's family in Chile was anywhere close to the earthquake? I think he still has family there.

No ... he's in Guatemala ...

Good friends of my family are from there ... The Sepulvedas ... and I believe had relocated there shortly after leaving the Spanish work in Reading PA, and then under the Libbys' in Gaithersburg, MD .... but my understanding is that Manuel and Juana are back in Maryland or Virginia.

Just received word via our church email tree...our pastor over the music department, Bro. Dumas, has spoken with Bishop Fuentes and they are okay.

There are people from our church who haven't heard from family members, as power and phone lines are down.

Let us keep them all in prayer...and remember those in Hawaii who will be evacuating due to tsunami warning.

A young lady from the church my dad pastored in NYC notified me @ Facebook that her mom lives near the epicenter ... and was able to speak to her mom today ... but is still very concerned for the rest of her family ... Pray for the Marcela's family ... namely the Gonzalez and Gallegos family.

The Advisory is under way from Mexico to Alaska.
The Advisory means that there could be strong currents or waves that may be hazardous to swimmers, boats, or structures & could last for hours after the initial wave passes.
