My prayers for your situation. I might add from personal experience that cravings of things might never go away. Of course the more control a person gains over addiction, the easier it is to brush it aside. Any one desiring to overcome addiction should flee the triggers(temptation) and spend time in prayer seeking the Lord's help. Remember that addiction seems to be a mental hang up more than anything. If some one can try to channel there thinking and be found doing the things that God has called many times addictions want stand a chance. Most importantly the person has to want to be delivered.
For whoever this prayer is for I am praying with you.
There is a new model of addiction emerging, that connects it with childhood trauma. I have always suspected that it is society that makes addicts, and this might be a more holistic perspective toward addiction. It is essentially how i got clean, even though this had not yet emerged then.

Read an article about this upon your suggestion. There's a lot of truth in there. But to us, we know where complete and lasting deliverance and healing come from. With Him, nothing shall be impossible.
