Dispensationalism time line

I am not a dispensationalist, probably closer to Covenant Theology.

But, I have some questions about dispensationalism.

The questions arise due to current end time preaching, and what could constitute the mark of the beast.

My Sister thinks you can accidently get the mark by getting the covid vaccine.
I thought that according to Dispies the mark came after the rapture sometime during the tribulation?
is that correct? And that you would get it in the process of swearing allegiance to the beast/antichrist?

Before/after rapture depends on if they’re pre/mid/post -I think.

They can’t accidentally get the mark. They’d know they’re selling their souls to someone/something.

Ah, well. Good thing that’s all fantasy.

I'm thinking that if you are pre-trib and preaching the pre trib rapture, then having people concerned about taking the mark in the interim is inconsistent. Is it not?

Just because it has been sensationalized does not make it fantasy. All men will bear one mark or the other.

True, there are passages of scripture that speak of God's people being marked. "Mark those who sigh and cry for the abominations being done, and destroy those who are not marked"

I don't think you can take it unknowingly either.

There is a lot of apostolic pentecostal, including UPCI, that believe in post-trib, which takes the whole Dispensationalism out of the equation. See this: https://www.onenesspentecostal.com/post/index.htm

The mark of the beast, as described in Revelation, is the result of you first worshipping the beast. If you take the mark is because you already worshipped the beast. If the beast is a person, then you would have worshipped an individual that claims to have some divine capability. A very similar scenario is Nero and IIRC other roman emperors as well, who claimed to be some sort of god and demanded worship, and their priests would use deceiving mechanical technics to make their status move and respond to worship. Those things were already a practice by the time John wrote Revelation. You could see that as a shadow of what's to come. You wouldn't take the mark by accident.

Re: Dispensationalism time line

The false prophet will cause people to take the mark. They will take it knowing it is to "mark" their loyalty to the beast. It seems as if what they are preparing for us now is like a trial run.
