He compares the Speculum to Vaticanus. The Speculum is an important witness, however it is Latin. It may not be quite that early, but that is true for Vaticanus as well, which is quite likely dated too early.

You added the "Greek manuscrip" aspect to the description.

Ah, I see what I did. Those are several Latin manuscripts he refers to, not Greek. My bad.

Re: Oneness vs Monotheism

I'm usually refuting this verse to Trinitarians. I would never need nor use that verse for Oneness

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

A verse does not become scripture based on what you think you “need” or can “use”,

Simply by the sovereign hand of God.

We need to let scripture inform our doctrine, rather than allow our doctrinal boxes to try to deform scripture.

Re: Oneness vs Monotheism

Jesus is the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit
Isaiah 9:6
His Name shall be called....The Mighty God......The Everlasting Father
He was to be called Jesus(Matthew 1:20-23)...God with us
In John 10:30 He said I and my Father are One
It is proven in research that the last word in that verse εσμην
Can mean we have one being which means we are one person
He said in John 5:43 He is come in His Fathers Name
In John 14:26 The Holy Spirit was going to be sent IN HIS Name —Jesus
And God is One Person you see Deuteronomy 6:4 the Hebrew reads literally Hear Israel the Lord our God the LORD IS ONE
That is the greatest commandment
He did not say the Lord our God was Three He said the Lord our God is One
In Genesis 1:26 when He said let us make man in our image and our likeness He wasn’t talking to the Son and Holy Spirit He was talking to Himself because He placed a majestic plural on Himself because He is the King of kings and Lord of all lords and because also He has infinite power
So Jesus is the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit
And He didn’t exist as another person to the Father but rather existed as the thought and promise to the Father λογός does not literally mean word but a thought and promise
The promise was with God and God was the promise
He promised again in Isaiah and confirmed in John that He would be the same One come down in flesh with us
