Very true, but that fabric would do that if they weighed 110 lbs. And it passes "standards" because it's a skirt!

NO, NO, NO! It's too tight, too clingy and where is her seam hose? Don't you women know you're suppose to wear a tent, two sizes too big, that two people could fit in, and it must be made of blue jean material, in case you want to go swimming??? What is this Apostolic forum coming too?

Re: Source For Modest Women's Clothing

Hey guys, aren't we being a bit super sensitive?

I am not so sure God wants women to hide ALL their curves. After all, wouldn't that be like cross dressing?

The girl can't help she's made that way.

Of course, some ladies are a bit less modest than others...

What about in your non-standards churches? Ever see anyone a bit less modest than someone else?

Everyone and every group has inconsistencies. Doesn't mean we embrace them - just that we are like everyone else - something less than perfect.

Hoovie,

It's the inconsistencies that bother me.

I'm going to hell for wearing modest earrings, but a young UPC lady I was talking to wearing hooker heels (which I'm sure you would have loved), said she buys them online from a known hooker supply shop. Really?

Ya, I always believed it was a false premise to equate a woman looking good (and looking like a female!) to immodesty. In some ways the concept a lady looking like a lady (thus the requirement for dresses and long hair) has conflicted with the idea that a lady must hide all "attributes" of her, ahhhhh, "woman hood". <wink wink nudge nudge say no more!>

Ya, THIS is wrong:

Yet this is somehow OK.

I personally think that both are ok in absolute terms -everything except the hypocrisy.

Well, I know it upsets many around here, but yeah.

And, some of those hairstyles have the rhinestones IN the hair - - just not on their ears.

Re: Source For Modest Women's Clothing

Ya, I've always wondered why women could wear jewelry in their hair, just not on their ears, or around their neck?

It is just beyond ridiculous when you really begin to look at the craziness of the clothesline requirements!
