My kids still say yes ma'am and yessir though! And everywhere I go, people ask me where in the south I'm from... I guess the "y'all" is a dead giveaway because up here in the north, it is "you guys"....

Fifth generation Floridian on my Dad's side. Seventh generation Floridian on my mom's side.
My Great, great Grandfather (on my Dad's side) migrated to the Silver Springs, Fl area in 1848 from South Carolina.
My Great, Great, Great, Great Grandfather (on my mom's side) migrated to Florida from Georgia when Florida was still part of Spain.
I am also a direct descendent of two different people who were on the Mayflower and have the certificates to prove it.

Lifetime Texan! Lived the first eleven yrs of my life just south of Red River in North Texas! The last 62 yrs, lived within an hour's drive from downtown Dallas. Six miles east of Southfork Ranch! (Dallas).
