I wont even begin to start on what happened with the cops in Memphis  We ended up with an Attorney and MPD IA in the DA's office with a harassment suit against 5 MPD officers.....left a very nasty taste in my mouth afterwards even tho we won.....I rather had not had any of it happen to my family. And from some previous posters....I do know not everyone from the south is nasty and mean like we have encountered. I have met some really nice people on our trips in the past.

Btw....I have met the most nicest people on here that say they are from the south. So when I said what I did about the south does NOT pertain to EVERYONE! I am sure a lot of southern people don't "take to kindly to my kind"  either....lol

I must confess.........I'm a total Yankee! 
We lived on the IL side of the St Louis metro in the 70's. This was before cell phones and good long distance rates
You could direct dial, but my mother usually ended up with an operator assisted call to me. She always commented on those " southerners", due to operators having strong southern accents.( Since she was calling St Louis area she felt the operators were there--------)
My mother considered St Louis to be The South!
