Another 3 year old thread brought back to life for some inexplicable reason!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

More importantly based on the timeline (2008) was JG's disatisfaction with the UPC and it's worldliness setting him up to depart for the Worldwide Pentecostal Wrestling Fellowship????? Sure sounds like it.

Re: Johnny Garrison. Does anyone know him?
I heard his message, "The Flesh is Out of Control". I cried for 3 days. It immediately put me on a fast. I shared the cassette tape and never got it back. Now who knows where it is. If anyone has a copy of this sermon, I would love to have a copy. I would be willing to pay for the recording and shipping. If you post the audio link on the web somewhere, send me the link. This sermon was the only one I ever heard him preach. I would love to hear more. I was very careful who I let listen to it, because many I knew could not handle it.

Re: Johnny Garrison. Does anyone know him?
I don't think I've ever heard of this minister.
I wonder what year that message was preached by him?
