because for the longest time The Pentecostal Herald was considered an old-school designed magazine and needed a complete overhaul?

The Herald definately has been upgraded from an aesthetic point.

IMO, compared to the AOG Evangel, the artwork and layout is very current and slick.

I think the name change will definately seperate if from the stigma that has been associated with the Herald; that it was an outdated irrelevent monthly publication to the members of the UPCI.

I personally know alot of exUPC people that read the Herald now; not just to keep up with whats going on in the UPC, but for some of the articles that are relevant to todays Apostolics.

Because 98% of Americans have no clue what a "herald" is. So if you have a problem with it get a life----a Pentecostal Life!

Because the name was archaic, and it was determined that the majority of the public could not identify what it meant.

There is a move underfoot to further consolidate other departments and rename some of our biggest fundraising programs.
