Re: Trump's first year

Trump is redistributing our tax dollars to the nation's ultra wealthy. His tax plan is estimated to produce a 1 trillion dollar deficit. And Congressional Republicans now have Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid in their cross hairs.

Arise, oh LORD, and defend the cause of the hireling, the poor, the sick, the orphan, and the widow. Let the stars above the wicked fall, let the sun above them become as black as sackcloth, and their moon become as blood. Break the teeth of the mighty and the young lions, who stalk the needy as prey and deprive the poor of their right for a bribe. May a holy fire be set in their midst, and let it consume them in the sin of their greed and oppression until there be nothing left. Let there be weeping and mourning in the house of the wicked, leave their children fatherless, erased the wicked from from the earth. Let not your judgement rest until it has consumed them all, awaken to the cry of the poor and the destitute. Arise, oh LORD, and let the oppressors of the poor and needy be scattered. Lift up the righteous. Let rejoicing fill the land. Let the needy behold the broken teeth of those who mocked them. Allow the widow and the hireling look upon the bare bones of those who robbed them. Allow the stranger and the alien behold the ashes of their oppressors. Let them be blown away like chaff in the wind. Let the land rejoice over the doom of the wicked, and the destruction of the churlish man. Show yourself mighty on behalf of the weak, the sick, the poor, the widow, and the orphan, oh LORD. And allow your people to know that it is you and you alone who judges among the nations. Let the strength and health of your people be restored. Allow your people to rejoice. Let justice, healing, and provision fall like rain. Let these to fill the land as waters fill the seas. Let your people dance in the streets, for their oppressors are no more. Let the light of your salvation fill the heavens that all may know that you are God. You are the defender of the poor and needy. And you will be glorified in your righteous judgments. Selah.

I completely agree! God, annihilate and vaporize, wipe out all those liberal Democrats for using the poor and minorities as voting base cattle for 60 years. Blast them with your fury for following the programs of LBJ who manipulated the minority and poor with policies intended to put them all on the government plantation and have, as LBJ boasted, "those n-----s voting Democrat for 100 years".

Eradicate and destroy those on the left so that they can no longer stand in the way of the right who want people to feel the pride of working and providing for themselves and their families instead of the shame of being dependent on a Federal handout. Break the liberals who have labored to destroy the family unit by making the Federal Government the father and have used social programs to turn mothers into feminists and confuse the genders of men, women and children. Arise Oh Lord and pour out your fury and wrath on the left who have used the broken family to create half a country of mentally unstable, wounded people who must rely on the Government to survive and so they keep voting for the very slave drivers cracking the whip on their backs.

Oh wait...you probably meant the opposite. My bad...you just want God to kill Republicans. How silly of me.

Note to the reader:

You will note that the prayer is targeted at the wicked in general, regardless of party. However, many American Christians believe that unless one is a GOP lapdog, they can't be a true Christian. And so, having simple minds that are easily manipulated for partisan gain, they only rebuke the party that opposes their own.

You can't play that card after specifically attacking 1 party only in the post immediately preceding your "prayer". It is clear you were targeting the GOP.

Re: Trump's first year

Before I met her mother, my step-daughter was terribly sick and needed significant medical care. Her mother wasn't insured at the time and so Addison had no health insurance. With the help of SCHIP she was able to receive the necessary coverage she needed for her treatments.

President Donald Trump's budget will cut the Children's Health Insurance Program by at least 20% over the next two fiscal years and slash Medicaid, which covers millions more children.

Millions of poor and working families could lose their health coverage. It would hit children's health care hard and break Trump's campaign promise to "save" Medicaid "without cuts."

Over the next decade, the budget will cut Medicaid by more than $800 billion, or nearly a quarter of what the health care program is projected to spend on poor families.

Medicaid covers 37 million children. The Children's Health Insurance Program, known as CHIP, has 8.9 million enrolled. Together, these two programs cover about one in three American children, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Trump's budget and the GOP agenda to gut Social Security, Medicare, SCHIP, and Medicaid to redistribute the money to wealthy corporations and contributors would have been a death sentence for Addison.

False.

CHIP was set to expire, Trump has requested Congress renew it.

From the May Budget proposal: "Extend the Children’s Health Insurance
Program (CHIP). While the future of CHIP is addressed alongside other health reforms, the Budget proposes to extend CHIP funding for two years, through 2019, providing stability to States and families. The Budget also proposes a series of improvements that rebalance the State-Federal partnership, including returning to the historic Federal matching rate, and increasing State flexibility."

Please quote where you found the $800 billion Medicaid cut claim.

From the Budget submitted in May of this year: "To realign financial incentives and provide stability to both Federal and State budgets, the Budget proposes to reform Medicaid by giving States the choice between a per capita cap and a block grant and empowering States to innovate and prioritize Medicaid dollars to the most vulnerable populations. States will have more flexibility to control costs and design individual, State-based solutions to provide better care to Medicaid beneficiaries. These reforms are projected to save $610 billion over 10 years."

Also from the May Budget proposal (Table S4, page 29): "Proposed Budget"
Medicaid (in billions)
2016 - $368
2017 - $378
2018 - $404
2019 - $423
2020 - $439

I don't see any cuts as you claim. I certainly don't see $800 billion in cuts. In fact, Trump's Budget proposal for 2018 is a 36 billion dollar increase from when obama was in office.

This is absolutely false. I remember posting about this in another thread several months ago, when you made some of the same claims.

There are no cuts to Social Security. There are no cuts to Medicare or CHIP or Medicaid. As shown above, Trump's budget increases Medicaid each year.
