Never criticize the IHOP. (Especially not Misty Edwards!)

IHOP has plenty of songs that dont do much for me. Yet on the other hand they have plenty that do.

What I do not care for is the "atmosphere" with the huge stage, lighting, the whole "concert" atmosphere. This song would be much better in an actual church setting instead of what looks to me like an entertainment venue. I am not sure how to put it into words, but there seems to be a decided lack of... I dunno... reverence? I do not mean somberness, but it just seems like everyone is there for a "good time" rather than to actually worship and offer spiritual sacrifices.
I have been to churches that have the same vibe. It is, shall I say, "not my cup of tea."

Wow kinda strange, to me it reminds me of the way Heaven worships God.
All the saints and angels they bow before the throne, all the elders cast their crowns before the Lamb of God and sing:
Your worthy of it all
Your worthy of it all For from you are all things
And to you are all things
You deserve the glory
Day and night night and day let incense arise
Day and night night and day let incense arise
Day and night night and day......
Your worthy of it all
I have never heard a song from any other genre with lyrics any more Biblical.
I'm not the only one who has felt the Holy Spirit while worshiping Jesus with this song.
No reverence? Unreal.

No, it was in reference to your statement about you not ever hearing any song more biblical than this one.
That's crazy. In fact it's patently false. You've never heard a psalm? You've never heard a Scripture song, where the lyrics ARE the words of Scripture with nothing added? I know for a fact you have, if for no other reason than that I myself have posted such and you claimed to have listened to them.
So, this thing "never heard a more biblical song in my life" is crazy and not true, but shows unreasonableness and a personal definition of "biblical" that has nothing to do with the words or with the Bible.
Thus, it is symptomatic of what commonly passes for "ideas" here on AFF, and quite honestly doesn't seem like something I'd expect you to say.
This place is really winding down. The few posters left who have something worthwhile to contribute usually don't anymore, we're drowning in silliness and wild extravagant claims, and most people either just lurk or leave, because they don't want to get caught up in the nonsense
