Revival of Shame

I am praying for a " revival of shame " . I know it may sound strange but everyday I am appalled at the lack of shame in our decaying culture . The scripture speaks of a generation that " no longer blushed " . If we are to truly see a culture change then we need " godly sorrow " to resurrect once again . If we as a nation have no shame for the wrongs we do then we will never see our need for a deep relationship with GOD and we will never see the " ministry of reconciliation " that we are called to do .

Until we are sorry for hurting GOD and humanity then we are lost as a nation .

" Righteous lifts a nation up but willfully missing the mark brings reproach upon that same nation . "

Thanks GOD for godly sorrow that changes us to the point that we never change back !

You are so right on here. It is stunning what is going on around us.

I have to talk to our children everyday about going against the flow because the flow always heads for the waterfall and the drop is extreme .

GOD as our father loves humility and despises pride so we must come to Him as needy children and not arrogant adults .

GOD is love and in His love commands us to repent just like we do our children when they are headed for disaster .

Shame does not mean that we wallow in self pity , it just means we acknowledge we are wrong and ask God to change us for the sake of His cause .
