I remember a time... many moons ago... there was a feller who had a call to preach. It was real, time has proven that quite well.
but... he was at that point well past 30 and just starting. well anyway, it was PAINFUL. Seriously people, his preaching was about as painful as pulling teeth with no meds. It was dredful. bad stories, told badly. scripture that hardly related to the subject.... subjects that had nothing to do with what was talked about. rabit trails galor!
and BORING as listening to a dial tone. wait, that is an insult to dialtones. I appologize dialtones.
I mean bad.
Anyway, fast forward an undisclosed number of decades. He pastors a nice church and is well loved. He is a great guy and clearly he is doing things right.
bad preaching is no real indication of anoiting or calling. some things just need time to get worked out.

I appologize Jack. maybe I was being defensive. see my post directly above this one for an answer.

I didn't take it as being defensive. I try not to assume on these types of boards, but sometimes it is easy to assume. That is why I asked the question because I didn't want to assume what you thought. Thanks for the answer and apology though the apology wasn't needed.
