Re: "Churches arm, train congregants"

In 3 weeks I have a guy coming in to set down with about 10-12 of our members inside our local church bldg, to further train us on proper de-escalation techniques when dealing with undesirable-out of hand marital, drug, alcohol psycotic etc related problems, as well as 4 hours teaching on live scenarios, dealing w anything...be it loud methed up wackos to active shooters. Also going ever several other things related to safety, and maybe some first aid....

We have 8 guys that carry. There’s a guy dressed “normal” at each entrance (2) when we have morning services. In the evening all doors are locked(safety arms/paddles” allow exit) 30 mins following service start, except the main entrance which has an a safety member watching the entire time. Everyone rotates weekly. I also have one guy at the middle primary sanctuary entrance, one guy at each side door entrance (left and right), and one guy in the balcony up behind the platform, all carrying conceal, all trained, no one even knows they are in those purposed positions. Generally there are only ear piece/radios on the 2 main entrances. They are discreet. But the earpiece is visible if one looks closely.
The church is aware there is a security team, they are not aware of their location/positions, except for the outer bldg entrances.

Re: "Churches arm, train congregants"

For the last few months I have been training on ESCALATING SPIRITUAL WARFARE, prayer and fasting, learning to pray POWERFUL and EFFECTIVE prayer...

I have been training ALL of our adults to carry.... the Sword of The Spirit....

We are locked and loaded.

Got the church doors unlocked yet secured spiritually with angels on the outside, they have been doing real good with outside security...

Had an incident the other day with an undesirable... our security / prayer team was praying the other midweek before our service. At the end I was teaching on some security issues... ie spiritual warfare. I prayed that God would secure the property and keep away any unwanted interference for the service. I specifically asked the Head Security (JESUS CHRIST) to station angels at the doors to turn away anything that HE did not want in the assembly. (I go right to him, don't worry about commanding angels or any other silliness like that. )

We had a man that had started coming named Jody Tate. He was supposed to bring a friend with him out of his old lifestyle which was drugs and all that. They had a ride bring them to the church and they started walking up to the main doors. When they got to the main doors the friend stopped and told Jody that he couldn't go in there. Jody questioned him as to why? He said he just couldn't go any further.

Our Security team stopped him, Jody came into the service, we had church, no one got killed and we exalted our security chief to the highest position possible.

He got all sorts of praise and worship that night, as He does every service.

He's the best.

A1 security, yep that's Jesus Christ.

Never runs out of ammo....

Always a strong and mighty tower....

The RIGHTEOUS run in and are saved...

He's got the big guns.... and the little ones too...

Re: "Churches arm, train congregants"

Course I believe in the verse that says....

2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds

Wonder what that means?

or there is this one....

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Hmmmmm wonder what that means also?

Re: "Churches arm, train congregants"

I have watched this debate run for years and heard all the hypothetical scenarios.

So Bro M, you mean to tell me that you will just sit there and watch your wife/daughter/mother etc and etc get raped/ pillaged/ murdered/ and etc?

My reply has been and continues to be the same.

Nope! I have the sword of the Spirit, I have the Holy Ghost to intervene in whatever situation that presents itself! I don't mind praying protection in these situations, using some powerful ammo (The name of Jesus) to protect!

Spiritual weapons are more effective than carnal weapons every single time!

Re: "Churches arm, train congregants"

This is what should separate us from the baptists and others who don't believe in the spiritual dimension.

Others being those who walk in the physical...
