A question first, are you as critical and judgmental as you were when I was posting here before?

I do wish there was inflection in textual communication. My reason for asking is simple. If your question is legitimate, I will offer a legitimate answer (although, it really is in my fourth point). If it's the sort of question I remember you asking, no answer I provide will be good enough for you and thus I will save my time and energy (and yours!) and refrain from providing one.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message

The myths of the old gods and goddesses are ancient distorted stories that actually contain a glimmer of the original truth they held. For example... every mythology has a "suffering savior" who is "son" of some major god. Most of the time this "son of a god" is half human and half deity. The vast majority tell of the ancient flood. Other similarities exist. But they tell a most ancient story. That story is fulfilled in Scripture.

Heb 6:4    For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5    And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6    If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Not sure that all of these were myths. I remember as a child and into my early teens, being spiritually "called" by these myths. In some cases I was not even intellectually aware of these, but they were calling. I found the stories of the early "Christian", (usually RCC priests/monks) pioneers and their battles with these myths to be helpful in my battle against them.
This may be a weird post to some here, but I am sure others had this same thing happen to them, as well.
