Re: Trinitarian Pentecostalism
I think there are probably more believers with the Holy Ghost who go to Trinitarian Churches than Oneness. Not because they are closer to the truth. Just because there are a lot more believers there for God to work with.
Say someone wants to find Jesus. There are 10 times more Trinity Churches so Apostolic Churches could be easily overlooked. The Holy Ghost is the same Holy Ghost wherever the person is.
If indeed one has the Spirit he has the Spirit. Does he still need to be baptized into the name of Jesus to be fully saved? Yes.

Re: Trinitarian Pentecostalism
You all must know way different Trinitarian Pentecostals. The ones I know believe if you don't believe in the Trinity you are a lost potato.

In the beginning God had a space suit, He named it with the Greek word logos.
Also when someone shops at garage sales and finds hippy clothing (like a burlap bag vest) they immediately believe God wants them to street (annoy) preach in it.

I understand. I even agree. But, that has nothing to do with the quote you replied to.

Pretty much is does. While I could cherry pick or dissect through Mike’s post and find some nugget. It is slathered down with his 70s Hippy Jesus. Trinitarians have more Holy Ghost filled churches? I’ve been there, done that, half of the garbage I experienced was full blown Azusa Street Circus train wreck. Don’t get me wrong I’ve seen it also in some Oneness churches, but they were more on the Trinitarian Charismatic goofball side. It makes me wonder what ole Mike thinks the Holy Ghost looks like. Good God from Zion!

You have been there done that? Been where? Done what? If half the people in Trinity Pentecostal Charismatic Churches actually have the Holy Ghost that would still be far more than those who attend Oneness Churches. And then...how many in the Oneness ranks really have the Holy Ghost?
Does that mean Oneness is wrong? No. Oneness doctrine is right Trinity is wrong. I contend there are MILLIONS of people who have received the Holy Ghost even tho they dont have clear understanding of Oneness doctrine or Acts 2:38.
When I received the Holy Ghost I was not attending ANY Church. I had never been in a Pentecostal or Charismatic Church in my life.

This was posted in another discussion board. Perhaps someone here is able to answer this thread. Before bringing in Acts, remember that it had not yet been written when Paul sent this letter to the church in Rome. Maybe you can show the fullness of the truth of Oneness from the book of Romans.
From the Oneness perspective, please articulate the Oneness doctrine of salvation, using ONLY the Book of Romans.
"Romans is widely regarded as the most complete summary of the gospel message and Christian doctrine found in any single biblical book. It certainly is Paul's most extended and concentrated presentation of God's saving work in Christ." Bob Yarbrough (PhD, University of Aberdeen, Scotland).
