Easy to understand.
Gen. 1:27
God had an image. It was his OWN IMAGE.
He made man after HIS IMAGE.
Conclusion. God had an image. Adam was made after that image.
Very easy to understand Mike. No need to be confused.

No, brother. It's saying when he made man he made him into the image he was talking about. That image was created when man was created because it's saying man is the image he's referring to. God is what the image is "of". But the image is Adam. He is the image of God. Adam was not made after an image apart from God. Adam was the image when God made him.

Mike, did you not post that God was talking to His image in Genesis? Let US make man in OUR image?
|
Dom,
I posted no such thing. I said specifically I believe he was talking to the angels. How will you learn if you dont read?
I suggest you listen to my video "Let Us Make Man". Perhaps you listen better than you read.

You said the logos is BORN from the Omnipresence of God.
Therefore GOD is called what in your Kentucky Hebrew? YAH?
OK, so one day in the far far away, this YAH gave birth to a son, that son was His eventual body

You on the other hand resist what Paul said. You are the one with the problem. Either you just enjoy making things up or you dont really read what is written.
In no way did I say, or in no way do I believe there was a co equal, co eternal Son.
If I said that quote me.
I have taught Jesus as the EVERLASTING FATHER with as much zeal as many. Its just I wont deny the rest of what Jesus is to please men.

Listen Mike, you were starting threads about Greek. You when questioned why? You told me that you were sharpening up so you can debate Trinitarians? You going to pull this when a group of them descend on you with questions?
Whatever you believe is a bit confusing, so I must ask you questions. Jesus is the father? You teach that, but you also teach a bunch of things concerning this celestial body which places that in question. The Trinitarians who you will talk to have already sat down with Joe Witnesses and they will be sharp to ask you some typical twinitarian questions.

Mike,
When you say a preexisting Logos, it is as though you are dividing God into two. Adding Jesus, you then have three.
I don’t think it is a good way to phrase that - preexisting Logos. . The Logos is God and God manifest in flesh at the appointed time.
If Logos is the thought and words spoken by God, then Jesus Christ was a part of the thought when He created the worlds. That is the only possible way that Jesus could be in the beginning with God - in thought.

It seems that way. It is rather confusing.

Honestly, I'm trying to understand. This whole thing about a pre existing son, and then no pre existing son, but a pre existing logos. Makes little to no sense. Just wanting him to clarify. Also he uses Brother Drysdale's writings as if he is quoting scripture. Hey, Mike? Is Brother Drysdale still in Florida?
