Ashamed to ask for Prayer...
Well, only ashamed because most of the time prayer requests on here are for very serious matters of health, life and death, lost loved ones, marriages, etc, etc.
I have waited until now to post this but crunch time is here so need some prayers to go up for divine intervention.
In six days we are supposed to leave for a 2 1/2 week vacation...er....I mean "missions trip" to the Caribbean and then across the Atlantic to England.
I somehow lost my wifes passport that was less than two years old so two months ago we applied for a new one. Right about the time it should have arrived we got a letter from the U.S. State Department saying that the photo we had submitted was too old. The pic can't be more than 6 months old and I did not realize this so had sent the extra photo from her photo session almost two years ago for the last passport. We immediately sent them a new photo that they have confirmed they received on 4/11, over two weeks ago now. We have yet to receive the passport and if we don't I will be going on this vacation alone.
Tomorrow, Monday 4/28, is critical as we will be calling the State Department once again and really pushing for answers. Need prayers to go up. This has totally taken the joy of anticipation we usually have the weeks leading up to a vacation. Adding to that both of us are under the weather so "Arghhhh!!!!!".

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
