*gasping for breath* Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Now that was funny!
Well, you sure don't see any AD names on the "Tulsa List." I think that the only way television would cause a stir in NB is if the organization passed a resolution that preachers can't have them and that saints shouldn't have them.
If you watch television, you're a liberal. (That includes DVD's or VHS recordings of television programs)
I find the terms are very encompassing on this forum... and often relative.
What I consider liberal may be very different from what the ultra-conservative type would call liberal...
But I think we're safe in saying the AD would be liberal compared to many.
Television and Hollywood are the dividing line for Apostolics. If you watch television in any form, you're a liberal. If a church allows people with televisions to be on the board or to teach Sunday School, it's a liberal church.

Why do you say that the AD is liberal?
Many of our Saints have TV's, and the ones who don't are big movie watchers (mostly in homes, some go to theaters as well)
We have a lot of colored gray's and trimmed split ends...
We're talking about SA and DC preaching in our churches again...
How could anyone think AD isn't liberal?
(this is all said without condemnation or approval... as I said previously, I'm of a mixed opinion at this present time)

Wow. That sure is a big change from the AD I knew twenty years ago. In those days, television was a no-no, the theatre meant that you weren't "in church" any more, and touching your hair, other than to put it up, was a sin.

It has changed a lot.

I wonder how long it will take to get from trimming and coloring to just plain allowing women to cut their hair and wear makeup?
Maybe Bro. Dudley was right when he used to say, "The turkey's not safe around Pentecost anymore." How far is it from Christmas banquets to the movie house?

IMO it's already here in some places, just not brought up.
There really isn't a difference in trimming and cutting, or coloring hair, toenails or face. Is there?
