Re: Baptist preaching - such humility!

It's possible that the person could have been talking loud enough to be disruptive, but not so loud that it was picked up by the microphone. In which case, I could understand his reaction. If, however, the person was speaking privately and quietly, then this preacher far overreacted.

:43 "Love you" *fake smile*

I'd have walked out. "I'm preaching." No you're not. You're telling some story about a guy in the cheese business. Gimme a break.

Re: Baptist preaching - such humility!

If I am not mistaken this is at First Baptist Church in Hammond, Illinois. (Jack Hyles' old church.)

This is revealing: (WARNING: not for squeamish, graphic and disturbing allegations)

Yeah, this youtube video led me to watch other videos posted by "stufffundieslike." While most were funny and a bit shocking, a couple led to an awful story about the former Pastor of FBC now serving time in prison.

Re: Baptist preaching - such humility!

It is hard to judge if this man overreacted while he was preaching. There are such things as crazies who can interrupt a service. But it sounds to me, by the several comments he kept making that the person was not a "crazy", but just that the speaker was a proud man who just wanted to humiliate someone in the crowd.

You are total moronic jerk, Mr Preacher-man, but I love you.

I hope to God you are not as much of a moron as you seem. I still love you.

I hope to God not. I love you, man.

Exactly how to cover up your meanness with a nice "i love you".... as if that makes some kind of difference!
