Our main friend in the Middle East is Israel. Jordan is also an ally, but they always seem to be hanging on by a thread.
Insofar as those who are now being critical of the Israeli response to the attempted invasion, how would you have them to react?
Attempted invasion? lol

I think WE ought to worry about our own front porch and let THEM all worry about theirs.

It does not shock me that you are apathetic for what has happened concerning Israel...

While it is true that there has not been a time of lasting peace between the Palestinians and Israel, it would be too simple-minded to think that Palestinians are upset because Hamas is telling them to be upset.

What has happened is HUGE! There are incredible implications for the Palestinian cause. If I were Palestinian, I would be upset or even angry-- with or without the prodding of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Saudi's or whoever!

No, no, no, you've got it all wrong. Those kind Arabs gathering on the border were just there for a peaceful BBQ. Those burning kites and Molotov cocktails weren't really thrown at the Israelis, it was their "poor people fireworks." Kind of like rednecks using dry ice and 2-liter bottles.

We will likely see "the abomination that brings desolation" in our lifetime.

What about Hagar’s kids?
—-
For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave woman and one by a free woman. But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, while the son of the free woman was born through promise. Now this may be interpreted allegorically: these women are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery; she is Hagar. Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia; she corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children
