The Missing Piece
There is a puzzle on the table. It has been worked on for thousands of years. We have been granted most of the puzzle pieces.
But there are just a few (how many we don't know) that have not been given to us. The puzzle is coming together and the shadows are becoming forms and shapes, and the focus of the design is becoming clearer. But still we wrestle with the unknown, because we do not have all the puzzle pieces.
My dear friends, don't destroy one another over an incomplete understanding of the puzzle. In due time, we will all be able to see and understand. Let's not destroy one another because we think we may know what the missing puzzle pieces are. For it lays in the hands of the ONE who created the puzzle, and only He knows exactly how it will all come together in the end.

You do happen to know that people have been dying for over 2,000 years?
Consider this, every generation sees itself as THE terminal generation. One that will be the last, who will win the door prize. Who will be shown what's behind door number 1. You see, it's like this, we aren't putting puzzles together, because we are too stupid to be able to complete such a task. Hence the reason why we have a Shepard. One who loves His sheep, one who leads them beside the still waters. He is the revealer, He is the creator and finisher of the puzzle. We need to listen to HIS voice, and never follow another. Jesus has been doing a pretty spiffy job for 2,000 years, and He will continue to do so. We just need to do our part, which is knowing when to leave a failed conversation, and debate. So, we don't miss His voice when He calls us.
Nice post Sis.

Amen, especially to the bolded. Sometimes we get so focused on "winning" a debate, that we forget our brothers and sisters love the Lord as much as we do, and we're all just trying to prepare our souls for eternity.
And this truth remains... none of us have the final say or complete knowledge... for we are seeing in part.
Iron sharpening iron... it is good to bounce ideas, thoughts, scriptures, doctrines around... but in the end to remember none of us really knows... we are all part of the human race that has been dying for as long as sin has been in the world, and unless the Lord returns, someday we will all meet the same fate as every other human being on the planet who has lived and breathed.
I don't want to get so focused and zeroed in on a particular doctrine or concept that like you said... we miss the voice of Jesus when He calls us.
