Good points. It’s hitting people hard that are not in the best of health.

Yet, that is a basic premise of societies throughout history. One of the reason for force marches was to weed out the unhealthy, the old, the very young. All the groups which bring a strain on an occupying military force. The surprising thing is this, the homeless "street people" are the filthiest, most unhygienic group there is among our population. During the whole hullabaloo their numbers weren't really effected, my opinion is that their immunity is stronger because of their adaptation to elements which would make John Q Public end up in the hospital with MRSA infection. I can go in depth on why I see their immunity is tends to be stronger, but I will be brief. The rank and file of the citizens who mask it around our country, are just so unhealthy, over weight, and downright weak. Compile that with other prior conditions of lung issues, blood issues, and most of all heart issues. Then what we end up with is a recipe for disaster. My church family can congregate without so much of a sniffle because for the most part they are not only active health wise, but the are mindful health food wise. Not saying that in itself is always a barrier for sickness. But being mindful of exercise and proper healthy diet does go a long way when facing illness head on.

Ironically, I'm overweight, don't get much sun (stay in my room on my computer), have high BP and acid reflux, and not only have I not got it - despite having dealt with customer's almost every day without a mask, save for the past few weeks - I don't know anyone around me who's had it. Had a couple coworkers take some time off because they thought they had it, but it turned out they didn't.
