Should be "There is no allah but allah and muhammed is his prophet?

Is that what you are saying?
Or...there is no god but god, and the m dude is his prophet. The Muslims obviously use Allah as the name of god in this case. Maybe it's kinda' like we might start by a prayer with "Father, we thank you.....".

Re: Allah and other languages words for GOD

The closest thing to the word Allah in the Bible is found in Is 14:12.

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer,1966 son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

The name here, Lucifer, is the word H1966
הילל
hêylêl
hay-lale'
From H1984 (in the sense of brightness); the morning star: - Lucifer

Interesting that the closest word that we have in the Bible to Allah is Lucifer?

Hmmmmmmmmm

I say GOD because I speak english. My hispanic brothers say DIOs. What say you all?
Not wrong. But that does not necessarily mean the Allah of the quran is the God of the bible

[QUOTE=Antipas;1360040] The human race is suffering because they fail to see that the name of God and the form of God isn't what is important, it is His reality.[/QUOTE

You are not alone in "missing" the significance of God's NAME.

Re: Allah and other languages words for GOD

yes, i naturally feel that my perspective of God is superior, also; and i also have justifications for it. However, God has many Names, and many titles.

Re: Allah and other languages words for GOD

I think this verse sums up the discussion, at least in my eyes -

John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Regardless of what name they use to call God, they must recognize that they can only be accepted by God through Jesus, who is the way, the TRUTH and the life. It is the name of Jesus that matters.

A Muslim who believes in Allah will not attain salvation, until he accepts that it is through JESUS, who is the way, the truth, and the life, and by his faith in Jesus will he be accepted by the Father.

Philippians 2:10 "That at the NAME OF JESUS every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
