Re: It will take force of arms to remain free.

I doubt anyone in this group is going to take up arms and actually shoot at someone due to this election or for any other reason.

But duck hunting sounds like a great idea

So a believers happiness is not going to be the same as a sinners happiness, so to say that this nation is going to turn to God and be built on biblical salvation/principles is flawed at its best. Therefore as you fight for this nation your going to fight for abortion, homosexuality, and the list goes on. Why, because just like you have liberty to worship your God, others have liberty to live the way they desire.

God is interested in spiritual freedom. Look at the church in China, or other countries that are oppressive against Christianity. The church continues to grow, God hasnít come down and destroyed all the oppressive leaders to allow the Christians to enjoy a life of freedom. Despite their limitations the church grows in power of the spirit.
I think spiritual freedom and natural freedom are linked. This is why John Adams said our form of government was only suited for a godly people.

Matthew 28:19-20 KJV
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Romans 16:25-26 KJV
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, [26] But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

Revelation 21:24-26 KJV
And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. [25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. [26] And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

I mean, seriously, how can you say that? I could understand if perhaps you were a novice. But... really? I mean, how is this possible?

Several on your side of the aisle have already shot and killed people on the other side just because of what side they were on.

You make it sound like we can only have one or the other. We can have both physical freedom AND spiritual freedom.

Again, you seem to think it's a binary choice, one or the other. There's nothing preventing us from upholding and defending both. The Word of God always takes priority and precedence, but that doesn't mean we have to just abandon the Constitution.

Yes, the church can grow in SPITE of oppression, but that doesn't mean we must live in oppression for the church to grow. You're blinding yourself with a false, binary choice narrative.

Understanding the whole context of what this thread has been on, ďIt WILL take a force of ARMS to remain freeĒ. What Iím saying is, your spiritual freedom is more important than your physical freedom. And so it was in the time when Jesus walked the earth. the Jews were under Roman rule. Jesus didn't voice is approval for an insurrection, he gave us spiritual liberty. Roman rule didn't stop once the Holy Ghost was poured out.

Again, you seem to think it's a binary choice, one or the other. There's nothing preventing us from upholding and defending both. The Word of God always takes priority and precedence, but that doesn't mean we have to just abandon the Constitution.

Again, understanding what the thread is talking about. You have many Apostolic's that would take up arms and kill for the constitution. Yet, this bible says to love your enemy. Iím not sure how you can love your enemy and put a bullet in him?

Where living in a time where freedoms that we have enjoyed are all of a sudden limited. Believers are acting like Trump is there only hope, there looking for a man to save them for communism, there putting there trust in our government, or patriots to get us out of the mess that weíre in. I hear this from churchís, believers that were raised in the church. Maybe Iím wrong to say this, yet, it may do the church of the USA good to go through some hard times to get us where we need to be in God.

Yes, the church can grow in SPITE of oppression, but that doesn't mean we must live in oppression for the church to grow. You're blinding yourself with a false, binary choice narrative.[/QUOTE]

Iím sorry if I am came across that way.

Matthew 10:16 KJVS
[16] Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

A sheepís only defense is the shepherd. Thats our only defense, is our shepherd.

Youíre right Easias, God is interested in a nation.

1 Peter 2:9 KJVS
[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Galatians 3:28 KJVS
[28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Itís not about NATIONS anymore. I understand some are still living in the Old Covenant, where it was about a nation of people, but not anymore.

I understand ďNationsĒ that those verses are talking about. Itís not what Iím referring to.

ONE NATION UNDER GOD.... thats the church.

There are multiple nations, including the church as a nation. Notice the plurality in Esaias' post.

Biden proposed a new kind of duck hunting years ago. He said all we need is a double barrel shotgun and fire off both rounds from our doorstep into the air and bad guys will run away. The only thing we are threatening is the ducks flying overhead. I wonder if this new kind of hunting requires a license?
